Earthquakes in China
After the terrible earthquakes in China, Bronte College students immediately got together to raise money for donating to the Red Cross for aid. They spent many hours at a donation table and did some canvassing. Mr. Mike Hofer, Business teacher, and his class held a car wash, sold sushi, and sold ice cream. Collectively everyone raised $3,600. This was matched by the Canadian government. In addition the school donated $5,000 to the Red Cross through Fairchild Radio, leaving the grand total of $12,200 donated to the Red Cross!
