Are the teachers at Bronte College experienced?

Bronte College’s teachers are highly qualified and experienced. Many of our teachers have taught in the public education system for many years.

Are students required to wear uniforms?

Students are required to wear a complete uniform on campus during school hours.
The uniform consists of a burgandy blazer, grey pants or skirt, white shirt or blouse, a tie, and a navy v-neck sweater and vest. All uniform items must be purchased through Bronte College, with the exception of socks/hosiery, belts and shoes. This will ensure consistency in quality, colour and appearance.

How much does it cost to live in the residence?

CDN $920.00 per month (security deposit extra)

How much does it cost for meals?

Meals are included in the residence fees (above) - includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snack (Weekdays). Brunch and Dinner (Weekends)

Is health insurance coverage available for international students?

Health insurance is mandatory for international students. Cost - CDN $600. per year

Are the residence rooms furnished?

Single residence rooms contain a bed, study desk, phone line and Internet access. Bedding can be provided.

Are international students required to stay in the residence?

Bronte College is a boarding school. All international students are required to stay in the residence for the duration of their studies at Bronte. All Bronte College students who are staying in our school residence who are younger than 18 years of age are required by Canadian law to have a guardian. Parents of students must complete, sign and return to Bronte, a 'Request for Guardianship Form' requesting Bronte to act as their child's guardian. (including a CDN $200. service fee).

A notarized Guardianship Letter will be prepared by Bronte and sent to the student. This notarized Guardianship Letter is to be given to the Canadian Embassy along with the student's application for a Student Authorization (Student Visa).

Is the residence supervised?

The residence is closely monitored and supervised 24 hours a day.

How long does it take to process a Student Authorization (Visa) once a student is accepted to study at Bronte?

It takes at least eight weeks to obtain a Student Authorization (Visa).

Is there a city bus nearby?

Bronte College is located on a major street in Mississauga and is very close to a main bus route. Mississauga has excellent public transit and highway systems, providing easy access to downtown Toronto and Pearson International Airport.

Are students permitted to smoke on campus?

Bronte College is a smoke-free campus. This means that there is no smoking anywhere on school premises.
