Bronte College of Canada

Overview of Programs Offered

The programs offered at Bronte College of Canada are designed to produce well-rounded, confident young men and women who have the skills to succeed both in university and in their future careers.

Bronte is organized on a semester system, which means that students can complete 10 high school credits between September and June.

We are also proud of our Advanced Placement (AP) program. In this program, students can earn recognized university credits. This is a powerful advantage. As an "AP" school we begin AP instruction in grade 9 to ensure that students are prepared for the AP examinations in grade 12. Our English Language Program provides 3 levels of English as a Second Language (ESL) training.

There is a great deal of flexibility in the choice of subject combinations. Through four convenient intake dates (January, February, July and September), our main objective is to prepare high school students for university entrance.

The programs that we offer are listed and described below:

  • Grades 9 & 10 are the last two years of the intermediate curriculum in the Ontario Ministry of Education’s requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Click here for more information.
  • Grade 11 & 12 (Pre-University Programs): Bronte College offers university/college preparation courses for Grades 11 and 12 designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to meet the entrance requirements for university and college programs. Click here for more information.
  • Express Program: Qualified international students who would like to register for the winter term to complete their 6 pre-university courses and enter university the following September. Click here for more information.
  • The Advanced Placement (AP) Program Curriculum: Admission officers at leading universities and colleges recognize the level of difficulty of the AP exams, and know that applicants with AP experience are better prepared for the rigor of university study. Click here for more information.
  • University of Guelph and Bronte College Program: A collaborative educational opportunity offered by the University of Guelph and Bronte College of Canada: First Year University Courses
  • English Language Program: Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced level of non-credit English as a Second Language (ESL) program. We believe that after completing the Advanced level, students will be able to better understand study materials at both secondary and university level and achieve a high TOEFL IBT score. • Language Study & Tour Summer Program: Bronte College first offered a Summer Camp (Language Study & Tour Program) in 1996. The success of the camp has grown with each year and has attracted young people from all over the world. Click here for more information.
